We supported Artists during the pandemic - see our dare to dream project and the webcam sessions - we fund raised for Ukraine and currently we are pledging the proceeds from the livestream donations to our young Artists in the Community campaign 2001 - 2007Founded in 2001 as a non-profit community project the Jazz and Blues Project was funded until 2007 by two Arts Council 'Awards for All' grants and a 'Community Champions' award.
The Project ran successful workshops and open jam sessions at Norwich Arts Centre enabling a generation of new players, including award winning trumpeter Freddie Gavita, to hone their skills in a supportive and inclusive live environment. The Project facilitated an open access and inclusive musical environment for performers and audiences of all ages and backgrounds, giving access to international, national and regional artists and workshop leaders. |
